CMO SUMMIT CEE by Shortlist is a „by invitation only” & „must be” ciclycal event for marketing top managers, advertisers. The aim of the conference is to discuss trends, gain inspiration and analyze the most difficult challenges of todays’ marketing and communication industry.

During my career, I have had the privilege of leading three global businesses across Advertising/Marketing services, Grocery Retailing and finally, General Merchandise Retailing.
During my time in advertising, I became the first non-Frenchman to be CEO of Publicis based in Paris. I was responsible for managing, leading, and acquiring entrepreneurial businesses across all the continents and led the relationship Publicis had with P&G, Hewlett Packard, Carrefour, Walmart, Coca Cola, Nestle and L’Oréal.
During my time in Paris, I learnt what sort of customer brand propositions travel, and those that don’t and became very interested in Retail – both their relationships with manufacturers as well as their customers.
After twenty years in Advertising, I chose to join Walmart; the largest retailer in the world. I was promoted to Worldwide Marketing Director after a three-year role at ASDA in the U.K. and continued in that role for about 5 years based in Bentonville in the US. I was responsible for Private Label, Traffic and Demand creation and the Marketing of our various brands across China, South America, USA, South Africa, and Europe.
I learnt how cultures effect behaviour and how to drive demand consistently across countries and different marketing categories from Food to Clothing, from General Merchandise to Technology.
Following a short illness, I left Walmart to join Pepkor as Group Marketing Director. Pepkor is a clothing-based business centred out of Cape Town, operating in Australia, Central and Eastern Europe, Spain and the U.K.
Today I run a consultancy business that specializes in helping businesses create strong demand generating customer propositions that can travel across markets.
We are a consult to execute business and we work in both brand manufacturing as well as online and offline retailing.
Our principal clients are in fashion, homewares, food and cellular. We work in the continents extensively.

She conducts research on the digital transformation of companies and public institutions, focusing on the transformations of work and organisational culture resulting from the introduction of solutions based on artificial intelligence. In this context, she also analyses changes in the global economy. As a continuation of her academic interests in globalisation and regionalism, she examines the impact of digital innovation. Myriam Zschage studied production at the renowned Baden-Wuerttemberg Film Academy and worked for many years as a freelance line producer and producer in commercial film, music video and feature film production. She received numerous prizes, awards and scholarships for her work and commitment. In 2013 she joined the German Producers Alliance (Advertising Section) as project manager, where she was also responsible, alongside Tony Petersen, for the founding of the German Advertising Academy and the prestigious German Advertising Film Award. Since January 2023, Myriam Zschage has been the chairwoman of the German Producers Alliance (Advertising Section).
Her main topics are new talent, sustainable production and fair and friendly economy so that the industry remains viable for the future.
Myriam Zschage lives with her husband, the DOP Bjørn Haneld, and their three children in Hamburg.

Steve is a lawyer and advises on any issues of concern for APA members; particularly complex contractual, copyright or insurance issues. Alongside this he oversees all APA events and serves as an ambassador for the industry.
As a member of the APA Council, which meets monthly to review objectives and strategy, Steve is focused on the APA’s main objective of creating the best possible business environment for its members.
Steve is also a member of the board of the Advertising Association, Executive Vice President of the CFPE and one of the founders of the World Producers Summit in Cannes.

The founder and CEO of Shortlist Consulting and CMO Summit has over 25 years of experience in the marketing communication industry and in business development / new business.
In the years 1995-2012 she worked in Polish and international structures of advertising agencies, incl. in Client Service and New Business in Gruppa 66 (today’s Ogilvy & Mather), Saatchi & Saatchi and for 15 years in DDB Group, where as Business Development Director she was responsible for the strategic development of companies within the group.
In 2013, she created Shortlist Consulting, the first company on the market focusing on pitch consulting, support in the development and implementation of business development strategies and in building client-agency relations. Shortlist also creates and organizes CMO Summit, “by invitation only” and “must be” events for top marketing managers and advertisers, as well as Marketing Benchmarks Summit conferences and CMO Breakfast and Procurement Caffee Talks, both in traditional and online form.
Marta is the initiator of the process of integration of procurement, marketing and advertising/marketing communication industry as well as a co-creator and organizer of cyclical events and conferences “In the pitch triangle”, focused on pitch issues and inter-industry dialogue.
She creates and conducts trainings re pitch procedures, business development / sales and client-agency relations building (ex. Brand Strategy School at SKM SAR, Procon and as part of the Shortlist Consulting offer).
She is/was a speaker at business conferences: Forum Zakupów, Procon Polzak, Procon Indirect, Proebiz in Ostrava, as well as co-organizer and co-host of the Dentsu Group conference series entitled Brand Survival Kit.
She conducts interviews as part of the Shortlist Relacje and CMO Talks series as well as is an autor and moderator of video-podcast Reklamiara produced by Grupa NaTemat. Reklamiara is a cyclical program re the history of polish advertising industry.
Since 2014, Marta has been an arbitrator of the Advertising Ethics Committee at the Advertising Council Association.
She is a member of the jury of Superbrands, Procon Awards, 50 Kreatywnych w Biznesie; Mentor at the Club of Mentors of Entrepreneurial Women’s Networks and the Women in Advertising Mentoring Program.
In the years 2016-18 she was the Vice President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Ski Club WKN, the oldest skiing club in Poland that was established in 1923.
